TMT Bars
 

Our Re-rolling Mill has been set up in Durgapur for manufacturing of TMT bars using the Thermex technology from Germany. The Thermex process involves passing bars through a special cooling pipe system where they are rapidly water quenched for a short time depending upon the size of the bar and the rolling speed. The result of the rapid quenching is a hardened structure on the surface.

   
 
   
 

The heat in the core of the bar reheats the surface to an equalising temperature, which gives TMT bars high strength and immense toughness. Bar quality depends to a great deal on the cooling intensity and the equalising temperature level. We at Jai Balaji Industries keep that in mind to produce the strongest TMT bars in the country.

 

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
Balaji Shakti TMT Bars are produced using Billets produced within our company itself. We are, therefore, in a position to maintain consistency in the chemical composition, primarily low content of carbon, which results in exceptional ductility and improved scope for welding.

   
 
 

MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
Balaji Shakti TMT Bars score high on strength and ductility, which are the main parameters a consumer looks for. The typical values for yield strength of our bars touch 450 N/sqmm as against the 415 N/sqmm specified in the standard IS : 1786. Further, ductility of our bars measured by elongation is a minimum of 25% while that specified in the same standard is a minimum of 14.50%. Our unique combination of immense strength and ductility allows engineers and designers to reduce consumption of steel in structures and yet be assured about their safety and strength.

 

BENDING AND CORROSION RESISTANT
The tough outer surface and the ductile core of Balaji Shakti TMT Bars satisfy the bend test around very small mandrels, which go a long way beneficially at construction sites.

Our superior TMT treatment from Thermex, Germany, evades torsional stresses in bars, which result in superior corrosion resistant characteristics compared to conventional cold twisted bars. Our bars can therefore be used advantageously in all concrete structures, in contact with water or otherwise.

 

COST SAVING
With lower section weights and longer elongations, we aim to ensure that builders and engineers who use Balaji Shakti pay less for more steel, making our rods economical in use.

   

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Every material required to manufacture Balaji Shakti TMT Rods is produced within our group. From iron-ore crushers to Sponge Iron kilns to Steel Melting Shops to our Re-rolling Mill; we have in-house production of each of them, which makes it possible to control the quality of our products and deliver the products to our customers promptly.

APPLICATIONS
